Vehicle Issues

After this fortnite's Centrelink check I am still no closer to having my rear brakes replaced. I have less than half the funds necessary for this urgent work. In its current form I literally can't afford to run my vehicle. The reason being this cursed loan repayment which is held against my vehicle. There seems no option but to give up my vehicle. It will mean I won't be able to attend my dance sessions nor other events, but I will have 30% more of my income - the 30% used to service the loan.
Being a Virgo I have contingency plans. Should I lose my vehicle will I be able to acquire another vehicle? This morning I did a Google search and found there are vehicles available in Perth for under 5K from car dealers. Obviously ancient vehicles, like late 1990's to early 2000's, and guarenteed it will need work done on them hence why it is so cheap. You do get what you pay for. But it will be better than nothing, and given I will have 30% extra income, I should be able to first save my pennies towards such a vehicle, then save my pennies towards repairs costs and maintenance of the vehicle.
However BEFORE I reach this point there are options. That is, to invoke the hardship clause which all finance companies in Australia are obligated to abide. Finance companies in Australia are obligated by law to consider hardship cases, and though they can reject hardship claims, they have to give a good reason for doing so. Even a modest reduction in my repayment will vastly help my cause. Should the finance company reject my hardship claim, then a financial counsellor may be able to act on my behalf and perhaps have the finance company to reconsider my claim.
But BEFORE I can even think about this, I have more urgent considerations. The need to move out due to relationship breakdown is top of my list. Though I can continue to rent my room in the shared household, it involves being under the same roof as one who broke my heart. So for my mental well being I NEED to move out.
I previously said I don't want to go into public housing due to the crime rate, bad neighbors, etc....... but now I change my mind. So am resurrecting my application for public housing. I needed to get my documents certified which was done, and next week I have an appointment with my GP so to complete the Disability Information form, that is my mental health issues, that is used to consider my case for public housing. Then will need to get hold of an income statement from Centrelink. The rent depends on one's income, that is the idea of public housing, affordable rent to one's financial circumstances. And being of old age, I hope maybe be housed in a complex with other elderly people, they generally make better neighbors than the younger people who likes to party, have too many people over, and make too much noise!!!!!
However once the application forms are submitted, and hopefully accepted, it will be a 5-year wait list. Due to the housing crisis, there are more homeless people around, more people needing public housing, so longer wait list. And I don't have five years!!!!
So also needing to get hold of the medical report from Centrelink that decided on my DSP fate, and hopefully to see exactly WHY my claim has been rejected. Knowledge is power as they say, and there may be scope to rectify the situation and re-apply for DSP. If I can get on DSP than I can become a nomad, just cruising around camping out at free or low cost camping spots with my tent as I go on my travels. It be preferable to get a cheaper camper trailer, like one of those pop-up trailers. But none of this can happen unless I can get onto DSP or some other higher payment rather the JobSearch.
Meanwhile driving around in a vehicle that needs the brakes replaced.........
