Activity Plan
The latest..... this morning received a note from Centrelink for a compulsory interview on the 10th to formulate an activity plan. Well I don't mind as long as it involves extra money or a job!!!!
People my age on JobSearch Allowance in normal circumstances are required to undertake certain activities related to searching for a job, or to engage in volunteering. The volunteering part applies only to people in my age bracket. So you see the govt acknowledges that ageism exists and it is next to impossible for people my age to find a job. So instead of placing us on a pension (the pension age should NEVER have been raised) they get around it by imposing what is essentially compulsory volunteering, basically community services work.
Of course my situation is entirely different. I am exempt from having to work 8 hours or more per week. I would LIKE to work 8 hours or more, albeit in limited circumstances, in the public sector in a background job like what I did before. But I am literally not allowed to work.
So what the hell are they planning for me if I am exempt from 8 hours per week work? Given that volunteering is essentially working without pay, I expect the same exemption would apply there. And in any case I have no desire to volunteer. Organisations calling for volunteers tends to be service-orientated involving people interaction, interaction with the public, which means. communication skills, etc...... and as one with ASD I am deficient in these skills.
And besides, here on 3D planet Earth, Energy Works for Mother Gaia is not recognised as a valid form of volunteering. It is on other 3D planets but not on planet Earth. No one on this very dense planet pays you to do energy works for Mother Gaia, so I do it without pay, what I gladly do cos it is my calling. And it doesn't involve interacting with people, I go alone on my energy works - though am always up with like-minded spiritual souls joining me on my expeditions.
Though I maybe exempt from 8 hours per week, but they may say I could work for 6 hours or 4 hours per week. Hey I'd be grateful for ANY hours of work. I need the money, especially if stuck on JobSearch Allowance. Just as long as it is in the background, where I am allowed to work on my own, performing simple duties - like what I was doing previously in the public sector before the planned-demic forced me to retire.
Or perhaps certain courses or training? As long as they pay for it, or increase my allowance.
Whatever...... it remains to be seen what is in store for me........
